I have seen several pics of small 0-4-0T and 0-6-0T's not to menton regular 0-4-0 and 0-6-0's. NOW ONE QUESTION....

WHY LEAVE THEM IN DISREPAIR??? I mean heck look that these pictures:

Some have been preserved in rather good shape, and are on public display.

PLEASE dont have multiple threads about the same thing! You just said the same thing about the exact same locomotives in the other thread which I replied to, and you have yet to reply to.

It is verry likely that some person, persons, or organization(s) tried to save them at one point or annother. This is certainly a likely explaination as to why these pieces exist today, as opposed to being scrapped years ago. It is also verry likely that, if such said individuals/organizations aren't currently working on restoration of these engines that they may have called it quits due to one or more of the reasons insanerocketkid mentioned in his response to your earlier post.
Anyway, are you quite certain that in either of these cases that there ISN'T some form of restoration effort? From the looks of BOTH pictures SOMEBODY cared enough to put these engines on tracks and, in the case of the "cabless" 4-6-0, start what looks like asbestoss removal work.
Maybe you should ask around a bit, you could be surprised!
