WTOP, and other sites, is reporting that once Safetrack concludes, Metro will begin a new, unnamed program of safety blitzes that will focus on the Red, Yellow, and Green lines and will again include 24/7 line segment shutdowns. http://wtop.com/tracking-metro-24-7/201 ... ork-zones/.

According to WTOP:

Branch Avenue to Suitland segment will be closed Aug. 5-20. Takoma Station will be closed Nov. 25 to Dec. 10. In 2018, the segment of track from Huntington to Eisenhower Avenue stations will be closed from May 12-27.

As much as it sucks, they ultimately needed to do something along these lines if they wanted to have any hope of things not deteriorating again.
