Interesting, never seen this info anywhere. I suppose this explains the hopper down by where Rowe quarry is? I could never figure out why it was there. I was thinking for Rowe, butI couldn't think of why they would need to dump sand/gravel at a place where it is excavated.

Something went all the way through from West Lynn to beyond Linden in the early 00's. All the crossings had
flange grooves but, I didn't see what it was. Could have been anything with flanged wheels.
I thought at the time it was some sort of demonstration/test connected with work that was done shortly
before.

It's not actually "at" the quarry. It's just south of the pond they made across the street from where the quarry was.
