VRE Crew Bases?

I am curious how many crew bases VRE has and their locations. Are the T&E employees all UTU or does BLE&T hold part of this roster, additionally what General Committee they might come under.

VRE has crew bases in Fredericksburg and Manassas. VRE trains currently are operated and staffed by Amtrak crews out of Zone 5 and are represented by both the BLET and UTU. Amtrak's days appear to be numbered due to the fact that VRE has a new operating agreement with the Keolis Co. to take over operations when the current Amtrak contract expires.

We'll know how many will move over to the new company in the February/March timeframe once union agreements have been established. No inexpeerienced crew will be hired. We will only hire experienced crew. Currently there about 10,000 furloughed engineers and conductors due to the downturn in the economy. Service will not be affected.
