Can someone explain (or post a map) of how the Westshore and NYC converged and connected in East Utica and how the Broad Street line branched off (with proper nomenclature) ?

I get totally twisted around with this and even chased a few trains back in the day.

I recall Broad Street jobs backing out eastbound over the 5S bridge.

Thanks

Early days West Shore had a jumpover at Harbor - track or tracks jumped the main and landed somewhere near centrals East Utica roundhouse; another track or tracks spurred from west shore main and joined southernmost track (#1?) of the fourtrack main. If I recall correctly, Broad street track spurred somewhere east of Savage Arms. Have
valuation map of this area - and sanborns - Will confirm later

Thanks, any and all help appreciated.

Southern most track should have been eastbound passenger #2.

Looking forward to what you find.

Cactus - Sanborn Maps from east end -they are out of order - you can piece together to get sense of how Broad street split and ran north of savage, west shore south. ONe or two more files in next posting
