Just before Christmas Bill Young completed and published his latest and updated edition of books "STARRUCCA: Bridge of Stone" about Erie's famous Pennsylvania viaduct but which contains a lot of NY history; also "TUNKHANNOCK" which is about the DL&W Pennsylvania bridge with a load of updated history of the Clark Summit to Hallstead Cut Off, the bridges, DL&W history as well as some notes about NY portion of DL&W. Avaiable from Starrucca Publications, Susquehanna, PA and Southern Tier and NE PA hobby shops. (Yes, I am a friend of Bill's but his text is so complete, accurate and updated that I think railfans should know.)

Thanks, Henry.
As long as we're on the subject of Tunkhannock Viaduct, I was recently in 'Carriage Barn Antiques' in Clarks Summit. They have an assortment of photos showing the construction of the viaduct for sale. The largest, 2'x4', shows the viaduct nearly complete with a DL&W freight train in the foreground. The place is worth a stop if you're in the area.

A slip of the mind: Bill no longer uses Starrucca Publications. Just William S. Young, Susquehanna, PA
