At first reading about a Gp-35, 107 I thought it was a misprint, but after doing a bit of research I come to find out that the new 107 a GP-35 is a ex Soo Line loco. Was this a Brookville loco? Petty nice to see a new GP-35 added to the fleet.

Probably already posted, At the 3/25/2015 MTA meeting they discuss the following...."GP-35 Locomotive Overhaul ($11.0 M)•An in-kind overhaul with complete electrical rewire of six Mero-NorthGP35locomotives and the procurement and overhaul of an additional GP35 (total of 7). The locomotives are in excess of their expected life and are no longer able to perform reliably. The additional GP35 is to replace an existing Metro-North GP8 locomotive.Project is estimated to be complete by mid-2016.BL-20 Overhaul ($15.6 MM)*•BL-20 Locomotives delivered in 2008 will begin overhaul in 2015.Genesis Overhaul (Budget TBD)*•The Genesis fleet is on a cyclical overhaul program that will begin in 2015. "

Looks like 107 is here, seen here with its twin 105.

Then please refrain from posting sightings unless you've seen them with your own two eyes / know what's actually transpiring and with what equipment.

Also, stone hoppers and a work engine barely constitute freight movement (aka it's not CSX/P&W) nor an unusual fleet sighting.

Once 1894 gets to Danbury tonight/early morning with the 129+3, crew and equipment are deadheading to Stamford to tie onto a maxi and tow it up to Danbury to fill out morning service.

The Harmon yard crew with GP35R #107 went down to Yonkers this afternoon to rescued Amtrak Empire Service train #283 and towed it up to Croton. It just arrived into Croton a half hour ago.

I don't think so, I suspect they went to fetch some scrap metal in Waterbury and didn't have time to make it back to Plainville. I'm not sure, though.
