Was BDRV 599 on paper only. Privately owned now with no railroad markings.

When I drove by the yard this week it looked as if NS had invaded the only CSX power I could see was a geep in YN3 guessing it was 4412.

4419 was all we saw last Friday........

I wish it was 4419 but what I saw was in YN3.

The power reads as follows NS 5271,CSX4429 and of course NS 3376. The 45's have been floating around lately as well.

I can't find the link on line, I read it in the Asbury Park Press today, but bad news for Browns Yard......

The Steel Plant in Perth Amboy is going to be shutting down, seemingly permamently, and the plant in Sayerville is going to have a slow down until the economy picks up some more

It will be a shame to see the plant close up in Perth Amboy - apparently much of hte work force has been cut over the past few years, and they are down to a skeleton crew now, and they will be let go. :(

Saw this in the Home News yesterday. What does this mean for the East end of the former RRRR?

Although it seems in NJ(in recent history), weed infested tracks aren't pulled as quickly as they are in other states..

MAAAYBE,all the trains that don't exist in Pt.Newark will use it.....

I thought the Perth Amboy plant was only served by Port Reading trains.

It is served from Pt Reading. If the plant is still going to receive some traffic the line isnt going anywhere. There is still some traffic on the line.
