Trackwork? Winthrop ME 5-21-09

Today about 12:30 in the afternoon i passed through winthrop. I saw a hirailer. Not a pickup truck, but a full size truck, it looked like a logging truck, with a crane or boomlift and a flatbed with something on it. I also so something further down the tracks, it was a quick glance, as the 202 overpass doesn't allow for a very good look. It seems like theres been a lot of equipment there lately, but I don't know maybe its just me.

Edit- I also saw one of the leasers going north towards waterville yesterday. Has this become a regular occurance?

Was in the Winthrop area 2 weeks ago, or so, and crews have been removing the rails from the long unused passing track.

So it isn't maintenance? they are taking track up? I didn't know that track was long enough to use as a passing track, i thought it was just for MOW storage.
