One of the most impressive things I have found out since the CWR project has been done on the south side of Main St. in Avon. It has gotten quiet. I didn't think it would be possible but, with the CWR and new ballast in place, the train is actually quieter through the neighborhoods of the south side of Avon. As the engines are powered climbing the hill and coming up to speed, you can hear the engines Notched up but not the old rattle and grind of travel over the track, thus a quiet train. Go figure. I actually have missed the trains movements a few times lately because of the lack of sound. Good for those sleeping, I guess, but it was worth the posting about. :-)
