This morning (8:00AM) I saw a freight train consisting mostly of tank cars, but a few high-side gondolas were at the front of the train. Nothing surprising there, as CSX's Albany Yard usually has these. But, the train was heading east over Livingston Avenue bridge. I couldn't see the head-end power. I would estimate the train was at least 15 cars long.

Are there any industries in Troy that would take either of these types of cars? I mostly see rock salt covered hoppers and occasional boxcars.

What commodities are in these tank cars? I just drove over the CSX yard on I-90 that usually has a bunch of tanks this past weekend on my way to the Finger Lakes from CT...
