I chased the Mountain job this past Tuesday or at least tried. It had been a while since I last visited this line. I came across the vast St.Nicholas yard. It appeared to have many cars although some seemed to not have moved in some time. Is the entire yard active? Does the Mt. Job do regular work here? Any tips on chasing this train as following the line especially west of St Nicholas was a bit difficult.
Thanks for the help

Park:

The St. Nick yard is in service for the "storage car" business only. So, that explains why the cars look dormant. However, the yard does get drilled out now and then when cars need to go back into circulation. The Mtn job does drill cars out of there once a great while, but usually a Tamaqua extra crew will drill out the cars that are needed.
