The day starts at the Bay Coast Little Creek yard, where 2014 is found dead on the scale track coupled to a few interesting pieces of rolling stock.

Also in the yard, was a freshly painted BCR boxcar, former CR 220280

From there, we set of to find out what the NPBL was up to. Oddly enough, a fairly full yard was found, but no power. The Ford plant had maybe 5 89' cars in the yard, a sign that business for them is slowing fast. We then set out following the NPBL in hopes of finding something on the move (or even dead at this point), but ended up at Carolina Junction, photographing the former Virginian tower in good morning light.

In portsmouth, a few Tidewater Chapter Cars are spotted... darn fence... TWC 1820, NW 1401, NW 1241, NW 518666

On the Commonwealth, a loan MP gon was spotted just outside the fence at West Norfolk. CWRY 517 is dead inside the plant with sharp flanges. GP16 444 was found in Wilroy, now being used on the road train.

Back in Newport News, this loan rock car awaits movement to the car shops.

Overall not bad. Would have been better if some NPBL GP15-1's turned up.
