Hello,

My friend, who lives in New Zealand, is about to begin building a model of the leaning Erie Railroad tower that use to exist at Suffren, NY, near Hillburn yard. Does anyone on the list have good reference shots of the tower? Ideally, it would helpful to have close-up shots of the tower to assist my friend with building and adding detail to the proposed model.

Thank you for your time and help.

Sincerely,

Walter Conklin

Keep in mind that SF had two plywood boards keeping the tower up, since the construction of the Thruway disrupted its foundation.

I do not have any photos to provide but I do know that the tower was held up by a series of wooden beams from the back. Had they not been there, it would have fallen over years before.
