So if they just fix er up big time, like they'll probably have to do in the future anyway, then yes, it can hold LRVs?

Sure, in theory.

After getting the Manhattanites and Queens folks to agree to tracks & Stations, and don't forget the Bike lobby (north outer roadway is part of the main bike path through New York City)

Perhaps, while we are dreaming, an idea would be to use that upper level platform at Roosevelt Avenue, the one that was supposed to go to the Rockaways, and dig a tunnel north to LaGuardia. Add a few stops in East Elmhurst/Corona to an underserved transit area.

Maybe as part of the Willets Point planned redevelopment, a new rail line can go to the Airport from Corona, skirting the GCP. Heck, they're planning on rebuilding the Number 7 Bridge across the Flushing River, maybe they can add a spur from the 7 to LGA, call itthe "10" line

No new spurs or anything like that. The 7 doesn't have the capacity to support an additional branch, and can't afford to split the service in two.

I'm going on the hopes that Airtrain can be operated with trolleys/LRTs on the same tracks.
