Prior to the reductions in frequency of certain services, the full tally was 1222 - 1225 for each 30-date period, so the current number reflects a 40% reduction in total trains reviewed.

Services which improved in both measured categories include:
westbound Pennsylvanian;
southbound Crescent;
eastbound Lake Shore Limited, STL Corridor, and KCY Corridor; and
both directions of the Capitol Limited.

The large discrepancies between directional performance of the Pennsylvanian, Boston section of the Lake Shore Limited, Detroit Corridor, and Buffalo Corridor are indicative of continuing operational problems which need to be resolved.

Causes of the delays to the monitored services were:
Host Carrier = 131
Amtrak Equipment = 51
Weather Related = 15
3rd Party = 12
Amtrak Holds = 9

Soooooo, it looks like you ca expect to be late if you take any of the studied services except the ones that operate at better than 60%.
