I recently went to RMDI and it was quite an experience. That Pocono Northeast Railway SW1 is still there and now I know where those 6- axles trucks came from. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... ?id=697142
RMDI B23-7 4052 is still running and is used as a shop switcher. It pulled 4053 a few feet so 4053 could have an engine installed.
There was a brown primered SW1500 (I think) near 4053.
Part of a U34CH long hood is used as a storage shed and is only 5 feet deep. Probably NJT 4158.

The cabs of SSW 7997, UP 216, NS 3996, and NS 3601.
There are three R&N U23Bs #s 2397-9.
Two NS SD40s numbered 3195 & 3173 are also there.
PNER 87, AMTK 581, BDLX 600, BDLX 133, NS 3517, NS 3518, NS 3989, CR 2787*, and a wreck damaged NS 4049 were all lashed together. There was also a grey 4-axle unit that was missing its long hood, any markings, and engine. Also present were about five passenger coaches.

There are only four C32-8s left in North America. The other is in Brazil.
Numbers 8460, 8462, 8467, 8468.
C32-8 8464 was a pile of gray scrap.
All units are missing boarding steps, air filters, number boards, plows, fluids, lights, and several doors.
*CR 2787 is of Leigh Valley heritage

Scot,

How long ago was the SDP45 there? When I was there in Jan. 2006, I do not recall seeing it.

The SDP45 was there around the turn of the century.
Yes I got that U23B. (See previous post.)

Scot, I am working on getting in there sometime in the next week and a half. If I do I'll be on the lookout for it or ask around about it.

Thank you Nick. I'd like to make a repeat visit soon myself. Nice guys there, as long as you ask permission and don't act like an idioit.

Don't forget the gray, maroon, and yellow paint if you find it!

Regards,

Joshua

I rechecked my photographs from January 2005, and lo and behold--I was wrong.

If you look at the part of the SDP45's nose that is your left you will see the cab of B36-7 3601. I photographed that unit and I think the switcher behind the boxcar that is coupled to the rear of the SDP45. Now, I did not see any SDP45 at that location.

Just checked my photos. The box car is there, but no SDP45. There are some newish looking hoppers where the black EMD was The empty track between the SDP45 and black emd has been filled with other boxcars.
