Hi All,
The question appears to be a bit premature. Before you rebuild a transit system, where necessary, you need to replace the people that lived there. They have to have a place to commute FROM. After that, they need a place that they need to commute TO. Until that is achieved commuting is irrelevant. Fortunately my favorite line, the St. Charles line is intact. Providing that the area, and the canal st area become safe from levee breaches again, things will work out. My essential question here is, What happened to all that money that was collected and supposedly spent to undo all that damage ??? Did bureaucrats make out like bandits, and Jacques Zajacques wind up with empty pockets, empty stomach, and a wife and kids screaming for something to eat ? And still, no place to sleep ?
