I noticed on the NERAIL Photo site that back in 1978, there were TOFC cars in the yard at Readville. Were these offloaded at Readville, or did they go up to a terminal at South Boston? Were these big terminals or just a circus ramp type facility? I thought Beacon Park was the only TOFC facility in the Boston area at that time. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Some of the senior guys at Readville tell of TOFC being handled at Readville's 2 yard, down in the lower area now occupied by the MBTA. And TOFC was handled out of South Boston and routed via the Dorchester Br. and Readville.
