Here's something I picked up at a recent train show... Shame that it came down to this for the New Haven in its later years.

I remember those stickers that were stuck on broken windows. It was so bad that they actually ran out of those stickers in time and the windows stayed B/O for a long time but the cars were left in service because they did not have anything to replace them with. It was a tough time for the railroad.
