While traveling along the Northeast Corridor in North Philadelphia, I noticed that Shore tower still stands, in deteriorating condition, where the Delair Bridge line cuts off. I assume that the tower dates from the late 1890's when the Delair Bridge was completed - Is this correct?

Have any origanizations looked into relocating and preserving this classic PRR wood/brick tower? While there is not much potential for preservation in its current location, its relatively small size might make moving it feasible and it would go nicely in a museum or restored station complex in the area.

Amtrak MOW still stores materials and uses it. you can park on the street right next to Shore and get pix of trains going past in the AM.
