Stopped by the old PQ tower at Nesq Jct today. Nice to see that welded shiny rail across the bridge that I thought would never happen. The nesq branch was also shiny rails. A R&N single loco with 3 hoppers passed me.

Someone painted the brick tower red. It's in bad, bad shape. The roof is gone. The wood staircase to the 2nd level collapsed and now you cannot get up to the 2nd level. There are trees growing from the floor. The basement, where I was in 1981 when the tower was still in decent shape, is now a garbage dump. The stairs down to the basement have also collapsed. Slowly time is taking it's toll. I believe the tower is privately owned, sold by CR in the late 70s.
