I have learned that a Local level agency, the Iowa Railway Finance Authority, has approved Flood Loans to several Class II roads operating in Iowa. Tomorrow, I'll be near "Ground Zero", i.e. staying in Coralville (Holiday Inn; all "rooms with a view' of the Rock Island) and visiting friends both in Amana and Cedar Rapids. The latter were displaced during the emergency.
