I am a model railroader and have chosen the Cranberry Lake Railroad as my "inspiration." It only operated for about 10 years from 1904 to 1914, running from Benson Mines (Star Lake Area) to Wanakena where it became the Rich Lumber company.

They had one rod-type locomotive, a Lima 51-ton Consolidation, builder number 1015. Bill Gove wrote about this NYS short line in the book "Rails in the North Woods and in "Lumber Railroads of the Adirondacks."

I am looking for photo's and any data about this locomotive.

Also any data on the mining operation at Benson Mines (later Jones-Laughlin Steel) at Star Lake.

Any and all help is appreceated
