Half of my enjoyment while I visited Strasburg, Pennsylvania, was staying for two nights at the Red Caboose Motel, located just infront of the railroad line of the Strasburg Rail Road!
This motel, as the name goes, accommodates guests in refurbished railroad cabooses! Very novel place of accommodation, although the real enjoyment out of this place was how hospitable and friendly many of their staff were, particularly the motel's owner, Larry DeMarco.

I was looked after really well at this place. More so than the caboose accommodation, this place has a resturant, that's located in an old heavyweight coach, as well as an extensive giftshop. They also provide evening entertainment, with a novel way of screening of movies, by projecting them onto the side of a big white barn!
On both nights I was there, they showed Chicken Little, and surprise surprise, Polar Express!
Ok, so here are the photographs:

Apart from the railroad music and sounds that play aboard this car, there are also hydralics fitted underneath, that literally 'rock' the carriage, as if it were in motion!

Having stayed a second night, I got shifted from my Rio Grande Caboose, into this more modest accommodation! Basically I had all the room from the door to the left end of the coach.
