A mind dending question, for fun.

In 1987 a collision occured in East Concord, NY. Five locomotive units were envolved. My question is what happened to the two units that were put back into operation. I have one units number, however; not the other. The unit was, I believe, an SD 42 lettered in the Chessie System scheme. The number was 4309. The other is a phatom. I tried checking the internet, books, but still no solution. Are any of these units still operating?

Can anyone help?
