Metro-North weekday service changes starting January 16, 2024

We're making some rush-hour changes while we replace track and switches near Grand Central.

We'll be making some changes to weekday Metro-North schedules starting on January 16, 2024. Our crews will be replacing several key sections of track and switches near Grand Central. The work will limit which tracks we can use, which requires us to slightly reduce service at rush hour. We expect this project to be completed in the early spring.

Trains that will not run and alternate options are listed below. All riders should check TrainTime for possible minor changes that may affect their departure times. Customers departing Grand Central should check the departure board or TrainTime before going to the platform, as some trains will leave off different tracks than they currently do.
