Little Joes

Boy..once again I wish i was around and working there then.

I saw two of the Joes in service on visits to the South Shore. I also saw the 801 in the shops area.It was dead with both pantographs removed.
I saw a video of the IRM recently,and it showed a brief clip of the 803 in operation.

The 801 was taken out of service in late 1976, and was used as a spare parts source to keep other two units in operation. Also, the 800's were not permitted beyond the Bendix stop. A sign just east of the station read "800's Restricted."
