Wouldn't be surprised to see some bigger trains down this side pending inspection of the bridge in Syracuse that the side fell off from today.

I saw the video of the side falling off the bridge, lucky nobody got hurt or killed.
That bridge could be out of service for awhile.

I don't think the side panels contributed to the capacity of the structure. I think maybe some stress cracks compounded by water freezing in them led the side to finally fall off. There doesn't appear to be any rebar in it. And they could probably just wall off the underneath and put fill in there if the integrity is in doubt.

According to Railfans of the NYS&W Facebook page, NS5361 brought a single bulkhead flat of steel, apparently similar to the steel loads that came up the line a couple weeks back?

Here's the bulkhead flat in the S Utica runaround Friday night and No. 5361 leading its train of empties down Schuyler St 6:10 pm that same day (the crew switched 4 covered hoppers out of Sangerfield and 3 excess=height boxcars off the New Hartford industrial on their run north)

I don't believe any damage was done on the Utica line, but they did have a derailment in Deposit because of a washed out culvert last week.
