That would be the Styles Street Yard. It's original purpose was as a base of operations for crews working GM. It's still used...just...not often. A couple times per year there will be excess ethanol tanks or storage autoracks shoved over the Linden Branch into the yard. The furthest tracks closest to the NYP are sometimes used by Amtrak MOW crews on the south end.

The switch at the Linden Station end on the yard lead has been spiked for about 4 years or so.

That's some diehard foaming right there to go out in 20F for 8 cars and two GE's. Hehe.

I presume these shrinking trains have something to do with the abrupt shutdown of the Sunoco refinery in Marcus Hook. Not sure if the Conoco refinery at Trainer is still shipping, or not. Both are shut down, but the associated plastics/chemical plants are reported to be safe for the time being.

CONOCO-Phillips and SUNOCO are both shut down/gone as of this writing. Except for some 1077 Placarded Tanks occasionally, the only thing H-86 carries is loaded Covered Hoppers from Episilon and mty Boxcars from Kimberly-Clark. As far as "serious foaming".............I take umbrage at that statement. It's on the way to work and only 1.6 miles from home. No brainer...............I've been catching freight under wires on the NEC for well over 25-30 years. No "foaming" involved...........

It was meant as a statement of admiration. As in dedicated. Besides, foamer is just a railroader's term for railfan. Not meant to be negative. Not from me at least. ;-)

Another DAYLIGHT surprise! NS-67T loaded H&K Stone train by Ridley Park Sta. under a beautiful setting Sun!!!

(NS-67T) Amtk #4 trk 4:10pm
NS 9941 D9-40CW
NS 9140 D9-40CW

77 Cars {75 H&K Stone/2 H&K Gons}
320 axles

Irishiron, the only "offense" taken is that I've known/know a slew of ex-CR {now NS or CSX} trainmen the past 30 years.
So let's just say I've been "allowed" to have a perspective of the railroad that 99.99% of Railfans haven't experienced.
So "foamer" is taken as an insult..... Let's just say I'm an "associate" to paid employees. But we cool my brother......
How is it running all that CP power?

Irishiron, my friend here loves the 9100 & 9200 series Dash-9's, but can't stand the 9900's. I told him take the numbers off and there all the same. LOL

I beg to differ with that ole Best Friend "Too Tall" Carangi!!!
BTW, who told you you could post on here? LOL

I like ALL 1,089 NS Dash-9W's from 8889-9978.
And how come you don't post your sightings down at DAVIS in Newark, DE?
