I took a quick joyride on the Acela and whatever their mechanical shortfalls, they still seem new inside and way too nice to retire! Hard to believe they'll be sitting in storage in a couple of years!

Hey all, I was wondering if you could help me.
While on the SEPTA platform at 30th st Station in Philadelphia I caught sight of what appears to be an Amfleet car that is wrapped in some sort of shrouding. Does anyone know more about this?

Sorry for the terrible quality, it's the best my iPhone 8 could do.

Might be a Food service car or 9800 the conference car getting fumigated for bugs per health Dept rules
the plastic around the doors and vents to keep the gas in the car to kill off the bugs!

Just an Amfleet with the Financial Times advertisement wrap. When did you see this? There were already an Amfleet I Coach (#81592) and an Amfleet I Business Class (#81502) with this wrap last month. I have photos of the 81502, but RRNet is giving me issues uploading them.

Constant tension wires are being installed on track 2 at Princeton Junction, so the New Jersey raceway upgrades look to be near completion. I wonder if the exsiting 1st gen Acelas will get a bump from 135 mph to 150 mph here.
