Starting August 6 and ending on December 19, 2016, PATH will suspend service the 33rd St line on weekends (except Labor Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving) in order to do signal work for Communications Based Train Control and Positive Train Control as mandated by the Federal gov't.

They will provide a shuttle bus service between near the WTC and W29th St./6th Av with return service operating on 7th Av at W28th St.

Hoboken - WTC service will operate on weekends during this time.

This shouldnt be an issue as most travelers use Secaucus to get to Penn Station on weekends anyway.

I disagree. I was on PATH today - to Newport and then a bit later back to 33rd St. The train was crowded. Many people from Newark, Harrison and Journal Square (and Hoboken too) like to come to midtown Manhattan on weekends. They use PATH because it is cheaper.

People who use NJT at Secaucus are the ones coming from points north on the Main/Bergen, Pascack and Port Jervis lines (and other lines that aren't direct to NY Penn.
