Why go to a museum when you can see these engines in main line use?!? ;)

Truly a classic run, Guilford, Pan Am, Maine Central .... the other two were even numbered MEC.

The rolling museum that is Pan Am Railways delivers yet again.

I received the following tip from someone who wishes to remain anonymous:
52 to be dropped at Danville for SLR interchange. SLR to interchange with New Hampshire Central, whom is leasing the heritage unit. I do not know the purpose.

Interesting, as the NHCR has often "borrowed" a loco from the SL&A in the distant past.
For some years it was the LLPX 2607, as the SL&A was leasing some power. This photo
was from 6/19/09 with the NHCR bringing the hi-wide transformer extra to Hazens.
Maybe PAR is going to do some work on the NHCR's only loco, 7324.
Thanks to Fred Kessler for the photo.

Hard to tell for certain with the lighting, but it looks like they cleaned up the oil streaks running down the sides.

Don't worry, the streaks will be back soon enough.

Just maybe (don't bet the farm), the #52 got a bit of a "tune-up" while she
was around Waterville. Speaking of Waterville, the #77 was headed there
a couple of weeks ago. Haven't seen any "sightings" of her since she arrived
there.

The rolling museum that is Pan Am thunders onwards ....... there is a stubborn charm in running these engines the way they do.

given the immaculate condition of NHCR 7324, not under their watch.
