The track will be in two loops. The smaller one is east-west in the Bricktown area, while the larger one extends from the west end of the smaller one northward to Midtown. Some extensions are already being planned for it.

Most of the route will have overhead cables to supply electricity, but a little bit of it will be without those cables. The streetcars will use batteries to power their travels through those parts. In particular, there is a railroad bridge in downtown OKC that the streetcars will use batteries to travel under (Streetcar still on track | Oklahoma Gazette).

It should be done by late 2018.

Looking at a map, it seems it will all be loops with platforms on the right.

Given that, are they still reluctant to consider buying unidirectional vehicles with doors only on the right?

You never know, but future extensions might require doors on the left. :)
