Pertaining to all railroading subjects, past and present, in New Jersey

Greetings!
I'm new to the site, and to the field, hoping to benefit from others' expertise as I research the history of the New Jersey Rail Road and Transportation Company, for a biography of one of its executives.
A trivia question for starters:
Wheaton J. Lane in From Indian trail to iron horse 291 placed the connection between the NJRR and the Camden and Amboy "three and a half miles south of New Brunswick." I'm guessing that's 3 1/2 miles south of the New Brunswick depot, somewhere in present-day North Brunswick. Can anyone pinpoint the spot?
Thanks!
