And with Lincoln Park getting one, this is a rare chance of WORMs getting something before Montclair does. :)

Is that from being at the station or the NJ Transit website? NJ Transit website disagrees with you.

From website:
Walnut Street Station: Grade Crossing on Walnut Street Closed for Repairs - Beginning August 13, 2011

Why doesn't Montclair have any TVMs? Are they too noisy?

Bay Street and Montclair Heights have TVMs. Watchung Avenue/Walnut Street/Mountain Avenue/Upper Montclair still are on the list of 13.

Perhaps they are. NJT and Montclair will have to meet strict FRA requirements to establish a TVM quiet zone.

How does Anderson Street keep missing out on TVM installation? It has decent ridership and is the only station of the PVL without one...and my beef may also have something to with the one time somebody got dropped off at Anderson Street and had to run(to beat the train there) to North Hackensack because somebody realized too late that he only had a credit card on him and no cell phone.... Anywho, hopefully the lack of any interest in rebuilding the old station house, insufficient official parking, and lack of a TVM doesn't mean Anderson Street in on "death watch".

Don't forget it used to have one. That was lost in the January 9, 2009 fire. Like cruiser said, there's gotta be a place to install a conduit for electricity and Anderson Street doesn't have much place right now to put one. Also, Anderson Street has better ridership right now than Essex Street, I doubt anything will happen.
