The first trip, July 22, is to Rockaway Park for a big-band dance party celebrating the 70th birthday of the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge and the 75th anniversary of Jacob Riis Park. The subway will leave at 2 p.m. from a Manhattan station to be determined and head back at 9 p.m.

The second daylong nostalgia train trip is Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Riders can take a guided tour of the Stillwell Avenue Terminal and learn how solar power lights and cools the station. Enjoy the surfside amusements or stay onboard to wave to subway riders as your vintage train rolls by.

The last nostalgia train ride will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the first section of the IND line. The excursion is Sept. 8 from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m.

To join one of these trips, reservations and advance payment are required. Only 400 seats are available on each trip. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for museum members and $10 for children ages 3 to 17. Call 718-694-1867 for reservations
