Did anyone catch the Model Railroader 75th anniversary Car on FGLK on Wensday 7/29/09? I caught the car on East bound GS-2 in Auburn around 1:20p.m. the power for the train was 2301 and 2308 the train had 72 cars.

The train West Bound train passed threw Seneca Falls at 6:20p.m. with 14 cars West bound with FGLK units 2308 and 2301.

That car has been in and out many times the last few months. Another car I saw once but not again is the pink Susan G. Komen car. I also spotted a newly painted WSOR car pained in yellow with a black diagonal stripe from top left to bottom right. It appeared to have some large bubbles painted in the paint scheme, too, almost like swiss cheese. No other markings. I still don't know what it is for.

seems like WSOR has a lot of special one of a kind cars. I guess I'm kind of excited that we all get a chance to see them here in Central New York more often than outher people in the country.

So far I've seen:
both the 60th and 75th anniversary Model Railroader car
The "U.S. Air Force Recruiter Car"
"We Support are Troops Car"
and the 911 Car

I've photographed these and a few other of the special cars during the past year - I'll try to post the photos soon.

Does anyone know exactly why these WSOR cars bounce back and forth between the Finger Lakes and their home base? I assume that there is some very specific industry at each end of the line, but I can't figure out what it might be.
