Does anyone know the color of the renumbered NYC Milk Cars (#5740-5799 and #6401-6660)? If so, is there a Floquil or PollyS paint that matches? Also, does anyone make an HO scale model that approximates these cars? Thanks in advance.

I didnt know NYC had dedicated milk cars- are we taking about dedicated wooden reefers, or something more specific? Can you show an example of the car you are talking about?

Found this site with a photo of a NYC Milk Car: http://users.rcn.com/jimdu4/MilkTrains/NYC_5780.htm
Not the shape I have associated with milk cars.

Oh! I would have called that an "express reefer." Thanks for the photo.

I seem to recall that someone at the club at the RPI club modeled an NYC milk reefer for the NEB&W... it may have been based on a Westerfield resin kit.
