Metro online videos guide viewers to area attractions accessible by Metrorail

Metro riders looking for a new eatery, shop, cultural or historical attraction should check out the "Metro in a Day" video series posted online. The video guide series features area museums, monuments, shopping, restaurants, parks and other places of interest all accessible by Metrorail.

The "Metro in a Day" series includes one 20-minute program each for Metro's Blue, Green, Orange, Red and Yellow lines. The fast-paced videos feature hundreds of points of interest in the Washington metropolitan area, as the programs' hosts travel to and around each station in the Metrorail system.

For performance reasons and to conserve company Internet bandwidth, Metro has posted the videos on Google's Web site, where videos are free to post and watch. To view the videos, Google Video.

The videos were shot and produced this spring and have been aired on local cable television channels.
