I was working my train north from Philly to South Kearny on CSX this morning.
And what to my wondering eyes did appear on a passing southbound freight to Camden, NJ (Q417) but MBTA F40PH-2M's 1028 and 1031 as the 3rd and 4th units of the locomotive consist.
The Q417 terminates in Camden, NJ, just across the river from Philly. Why would T F40's be heading that way? If I recall, Boise is in the other direction.....
