Man killed by train walked toward locomotive

A 34-year-old man responded to a train engineer's warning horn by stepping onto the tracks and walking toward the locomotive, a railroad official said yesterday in describing the fatal encounter Monday just south of the Port Chester station.

I feel for the engineer on that train, a 38 year veteran. I must have
worked with him in years past.
I have experienced this kind of incident more than once, it is NOT pleasant
on the engineer, believe me.
