The passenger service part of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Dingens Street station was converted to a night club at some point after its use was discontinued by the LV. This was gutted by fire in the mid-1970s and subsequently demolished, the remainder of the building surviving for several more years until it, too, was demolished.
Visited the building remains in November, 1976 and noted that a granite plaque remained on the wall facing S. Ogden. This plaque had a LVRR diamond logo cut into the granite as well as 1955 and C.A. MAJOR PRESIDENT.
Anyone know if this plaque was saved and, if so, its present whereabouts?
