11:33PM from Hunt due Penn at 12:40AM is 14 mins. late due. Unauthorized person on the tracks being struck by a train west of Carle Place.
Sounds like a train is in the process of running over someone based on the wording

This comment is uncalled for.

The MTA on a whole posts some poorly worded social media updates. With the subways they occasionally have the routes wrong. Mistakes happen but they are apparently paying $9 Million for social media. I work in tech and I have no idea why they can't do it for less than $1M.

If the content is too complex to eloquently condense information into 140 characters or fewer, the best thing to do is tweet out only the most relevant information with a link that includes all the details. "11:33PM train from Huntington to Penn Station will arrive 14 minutes late at 12:54AM. Details at mta.info/0123456789abcdefghijklm." Their content management system could even be set up to have a box for the content writer to put in the Twitter-friendly version of and automatically send the Tweet including the link back to the full details.

The $9M price tag seems steep, even considering that they have a YouTube channel with decent production quality. Do they do it in house?
