Tom McNamara died on March 31, 2007 after suffering from the effects of alzheimers and failing health. Tom was a legendary photographer of the New Haven, and his pioneering early work with color film and the use of telephoto lenses created a body of work that is still saught after today. A truly generous person, Tom was always ready to give access to his collection of slides and negatives, and always welcomed new friends to his home.

He touched so many lives and he will be sorely missed by the community.
