When was the Northport Spur last served by the LIRR? The '70's...'80's? Were MP-15ac's or Alco C420's used? What kind of rolling stock was utilized in serving the customers on the spur?

I think last runs were in early to mid 80's. Or was that Kings Park... I remember getting caught at a crossing somewhere up there, when I first started driving, and exploring the Island.

I never saw it in service, but back in my days of commuting by rail out to college at Stony Brook, I remember seeing it intact, but disconnected from the Port Jefferson Branch. This would have been 1982 (+/-)

After I got married in '92 I moved out here and made a point of looking for it again from ground level. I was dissapointed to find so little left.
