The La Crosse, WI Railfest is on July 21, 2007 at Riverside Park. The BNSF is going to have a locomotive on dislpay at their North La Crosse Yard facility. From what I understand, The locomotive will be on the old main near Reload, Inc.'s building. I also heard that the CP is going to have a display engine, but I do not have details on that.

Hawko,

Is it Riverside Park? The promos I've been reading at the radio station says it's going to be at Copland Park, where the CB&Q 4000, the MILW caboose and Grand Crossing Tower are located. Or are Riverside and Copland one in the same? They also say that both BNSF and CP are going to have their facilites open for tours. Would be something to see.

Even though I live about an hour away, I'm not going to be able to attend, due to work, but I would encourage anyone in the LaCrosse area to partake of the event.

Which reminds me, I need to get down to ABC Hobbies again sometime in the near future, too...

I suppose I could have done a little searching online before I asked...

Here's a link to a little blurb on the 4000, in CopEland (not in my above posting, I omitted the "e" from the name) Park...

The Railfest is at Copeland Park. I live 15 minutes from the place, been there several times and I got it wrong. The CP locomotive display is going to be near Midwest Fuels. The CP's engine location is an easy enough walk from Copeland Park. The BNSF display is still going to be on the old main, but will be closer to the Burlington Credit Union. I have not heard about open houses at either roalroad's facility.
