For the last couple of days, Morristown & Erie loco #19 has been in Hoboken, sitting on the maintenance tracks south of Track 17.

This morning, a new visitor was a blue Louisville & Nashville coach, which was sandwiched between some NJT coaches, also sitting south of Track 17.

Anyone know whats going on?

Is the L&N car a coach or business car? The Maine Eastern (M&E subsidary) was using an ex-L&N business car up in Maine recently. Here's a photo of the car. I don't know if its left Maine already.

I dont know about the passenger car, but most likely the 19 is making a visit to the wheel machine (actually a wheel lathe that works while the wheel is still on the car) to have the wheels cut. The passenger car may need the same treatment. Its a cheaper and easier way to remove flat spots and onther minor wheel defects, as opposed to new wheels.
