I thought I'd share this image with the group, of an ex Chicago & Northwestern F7(A) I found in Walled Lake, MI a couple years back, looking very Erie Lackawanna, especially with the string of DL&W MUs behind it.

Anyone have any information on why it's in this paint scheme? (Not that I am complaining)

Its not an ex CNW unit but rather ex B&LE F7 725. I have a few shots of it in B&LE pt. taken in 71'@ Albion Pa. IIRC, it was reptd to the current scheme around 1994 & spent some time in the Kent Ohio area. Later sold to Coe rail in Walled lake Mi.for use on tourist trains. Last I heard, the line isnt in operation & I believe the loco is for sale.

Thanks for the correction. I've corrected the caption too.

The sharp angle of the maroon (instead of being rounded)? Had to compare it to a real one to figure it out (if I did actaully figure it out).

Yeah, the nose doesn't look quite right. Otherwise... a cool shot! I don't think El cab units ever hauled MU trailers, though? (here it comes...)

Notice anything incorrect about the paint job?
Quite a bit.

As noted, the maroon sideburns are way incorrect....as is the thickness of the yellow pinstripes and the use of silver instead of grey paint.

Alright since we're on the paint job.The logo is an "E"" not "E-L".Yeah that used to be in the Kent Ohio(1994+/-) area owned by Ohio railway supply.
