True..but..
The "spotting and reporting of heritage units" and evolved and changed..
On heritage units dot com, they dont list strictly heritage units, only..
they also list rare and unusual locomotives of several classifications..
old patched paintschemes about to be totally phased out: CNW, SP, etc.
Operation lifesaver units..
and some other types..

Whether or not they "deserve" to be included is debatable..
but IMO, if its listed on the heritage units site, then its worthy to be reported in this thread..
simply because they are uncommon and unusual units that people are interested in..

the FEC unit is *not* on the HU site..but should it still be reported in this thread?
IMO, sure, why not.. its fine.. simply because its an uncommon and unusual units that people are interested in..

This thread doesn't get a lot of use, and these old traditional forums are dying off, facebook groups are killing them.
We should encourage participation in railroad.net, not discourage it..
